ABOUT TCCC
Learn about the Twin City Camera Club
To encourage and develop an interest in photography...
The Twin City
Camera Club, Inc. (TCCC), a non-profit corporation, was organized
in fall of 1933 and has met continuously ever since. The Club, governed by
an elected Board of Directors, meets on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month,
September through June (See
Calendar for the current program year).
The TCCC holds meetings in our Club Building located at 521 Elm Street at the
corner of State Street in downtown St. Joseph (See the
Directions & Map section for location and directions). The second
Monday of each month is the Competition meeting and the forth Monday is the
Program meeting. Our Program meetings include educational and how-to
demonstrations, workshops and critiques by club members and guest speakers,
sharing their expertise on a wide range of topics relating to photography, to
encourage, inspire and motivate us to improve our photographic skills and
knowledge.
Except for the forth Monday in February (our Business Meeting), Holidays and any specially called meeting, all of our meetings are open to guests with the exceptions of our Business Meeting and Digital Workshop Classes, that are reserved for members only. Meetings begin at 7:30 pm. We welcome visitors and prospective members to our meetings.
Who We Are
We are a group of nearly 90 men and women photographers,
representing all levels of photography from beginner to advanced amateur and
professional, who come together to
inspire one another, to share and improve their photography skills
and to enjoy each other's pictures and company. We always welcome new
members. For Membership Information, see the section on
Get Involved
or use the Email link.
What We Do
(See
the
What We Do Photo Pages - it's all about
photography and having fun)
We take pictures - hundreds of pictures - with many different kinds of
film and digital cameras. We
have a wide range of activities for all skill levels that include,
conducting monthly photo competitions, workshops and educational
programs, along with taking the occasional field trip,
with one interest in mind ... photography.
Our club house facility includes darkrooms for both monochrome and color
negative developing and printing (members provide their own chemicals
and printing paper). We also have a computer with software for
manipulating your downloaded digital images with final output to CD, DVD
or USB storage device.
